An affiliated partner of the G20 Global Partnership for Financial Inclusion (GPFI), the World Business Angels Investment Forum (WBAF) is pleased to announce that the WBAF Grand Assembly 2026 will take place on 2–3 December 2026 in Tirana, Albania. Please note that this intensive two-day programme is closed to the public and open exclusively to Senior Associates, High Commissioners, Senior Senators, Senators, and International Partners of WBAF.In addition, WenCHAM Founding Presidents, WenCHAM National Members, International Chamber of Arts (ICA) Members, non-WBAF investors, and startup founders are welcome to participate as Observer Members. We encourage all participants to secure their tickets early and make their travel arrangements accordingly. This year’s Grand Assembly will mark several important milestones for our global community:
Global Board Elections: Official elections will be held for the positions of World President, Vice Presidents, and Global Board Members. The application link, eligibility criteria, and rules for candidates will be announced shortly.
Global WenCHAM Meeting: The first Global Meeting of WenCHAM Founding Presidents will be hosted during the Grand Assembly, marking a new chapter in our global entrepreneurship movement.
Global ICA Meeting: The Grand Assembly will also host the first Global Meeting of International Chamber of Arts (ICA) Members, bringing together ICA members from around the world.
Certification Ceremony for 2026 Appointees: All Senators and International Partners appointed in 2026 will officially receive their certificates during a special ceremony on stage.
Senior Senator Upgrades: A special ceremony will recognise Senators who qualify for an upgrade to the position of Senior Senator following five terms of service. To qualify, Senators must either have completed five years of continuous membership or have served for a minimum of three years and attended at least one World Congress in person.
Senator Upgrades for International Partners: International Partners completing five years of service will be officially upgraded to the position of Senator during a special ceremony. To qualify, International Partners must either have completed five years of continuous membership or have served for a minimum of three years and attended at least one World Congress in person.
Global Fundraising Stage 2026: The Global Fundraising Stage (GFRS) aims to build a high-quality portfolio featuring some of the world’s most promising startups and scaleups while creating opportunities for co-investment and follow-on investment. Interested startup founders are invited to complete the application form through the link provided.
World Excellence Awards 2026: The World Excellence Awards recognise the year’s most disruptive new market entrants and highlight outstanding individuals and organisations shaping the global entrepreneurship ecosystem.
