An affiliated partner of the G20 Global Partnership for Financial Inclusion (GPFI), the World Business Angels Investment Forum (WBAF) is pleased to announce that its 2025 Grand Assembly will take place on 8 – 9 December 2025 in Istanbul. Please note that this two-day intensive programme is closed to the public and open exclusively to Senior Associates, High Commissioners, Senior Senators, Senators, and International Partners. In addition, WenCHAM Founding Presidents, WenCHAM National Members, investors who are not WBAF members, and startup founders are welcome to participate as Observer Members. We encourage you to secure your tickets early and plan your travel accordingly. This year’s gathering will be historic, with several important milestones for our global community:
First-Ever Elections: For the first time in WBAF’s history, there will be an official voting to elect the World President, Vice Presidents, and Board Members. The application link and rules for becoming a candidate will be shared shortly. Global WenCHAM Meeting: The first Global Meeting of WenCHAM Founding Presidents will be hosted during the Grand Assembly, marking a new chapter in our global entrepreneurship movement. Certification of 2025 Appointees: All Senators and International Partners appointed in 2025 will officially receive their certificates with a special ceremony on stage. Senior Senator Upgrades: A special ceremony will recognize Senators upgraded to Senior Senator position, awarded after 5 terms of service. To qualify for this upgrade, Senators must either have completed five years of continuous membership or have served a minimum of three years and attended at least one World Congress in person. Senator Upgrades from International Partner Role: International Partners completing 5 years of service will be officially upgraded to Senator position with a special ceremony. To qualify for this upgrade, International Partners must either have completed five years of continuous membership or have served a minimum of three years and attended at least one World Congress in person. Global Fundraising Stage 2025: The GFRS aims to create a high-quality portfolio with some of the world’s most promising startups and scaleups and, at the same time, create opportunities for co-investment and follow-on investments.
